Our journey began when FC Buys embarked on a quest for the perfect off-road caravan to accommodate a family of five, with a full bathroom inside—a quest that proved elusive in the current market.

Fueled by the desire for a lightweight, durable, and family-friendly caravan, FC teamed up with Schalk Meintjies, a mechanical engineer with a penchant for innovation who also happens to be a director at Refutech. After three years of dedication and meticulous development, the first CX6 rolled out of the factory.

Cornell-trained engineer (MEng, Summa Cum Laude) turned serial entrepreneur. Founder of FFWD Innovation and Surge Accelerator, with clients including MTN, FNB, Old Mutual, and Accenture. Part-time lecturer at Wits Business School and Cornell University. At BERG, FC leads brand, sales, and international growth.

Schalk Meintjes — Production Director
Mechanical engineer with 20+ years in heavy manufacturing — from blast-protected military vehicles at LMT Products to 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis at TFM Holdings. Co-founder of Refutech. At BERG, Schalk designed every production jig, the composite body system, and the aluminium frame process.

Dietrich Schulenburg — Business Director
Commercial and financial operator with deep roots in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Senior roles at Bidvest McCarthy Isuzu and TFM Industries, co-founder of Refutech and Genlift. At BERG, Dietrich runs financial management, cost control, and compliance.
